What is GPASC?
Founded in 1952 and incorporated 1956, GPASC is a non-profit interdisciplinary
association, organized "exclusively for educational purposes within
the meaning of the Internal Revenue Code".
GPASC's Purpose
We, the Group Psychotherapy Association of Southern California, are
committed to serving our membership and the mental health community.
We provide interdisciplinary forums for professionals who use group
psychotherapy for the enhancement of mental health. We support opportunities
for professional development and personal growth and encourage on-going,
peer consultation groups experience for the membership.
We have a special obligation to provide training and additional learning
opportunities in group psychotherapy and group process for students
and newly credentialed professionals.
We want our membership to enjoy and learn together in a nourishing
environment which enhances social interaction, bonding and networking.
We recognize these goals can only be achieved through stimulation
education programs conducted on a regular on-going basis for our membership
and for the mental health community.
